On Unrequited Love

There are people who are afraid to do something bad, who are afraid to be "not nice." On the other hand, there are people like you, who do something horrible and appalling on purpose to isolate yourself. You refuse to accept the fact that you were rejected at the time you acted at your best, so you start going about acting at your absolute worst; a feeble attempt to convince yourself that you were never rejected, and that it was you who drove the person you love away.

Is it so hard for you to allow yourself to be vulnerable, to let the pain of rejection seep through to you slowly, gracefully, and gently? Don't deal with unrequited love violently and bitterly, my friend. No one ever said love will always be reciprocated. In the words of Longfellow, talk not of wasted affection; affection never was wasted.
